The Olympia project is a complete renovation of two bathrooms on the private floor of a contemporary home in Ahuntsic. Delivered turnkey by Groupe Cartier as general contractor, the mandate was to rethink the private floor to better meet the needs of modern family life.

Three major interventions shaped the project: renovating the main bathroom, creating an ensuite bathroom for the primary suite, and designing a custom built-in piece of furniture for the bedroom. Every material, every detail and every transition was considered to extend the existing identity of the space.
Presented by La Pièce, the Monuma awards highlight the most outstanding residential projects, judged by a panel of design and architecture experts. The Olympia project was recognized for the quality of its design, the coherence of its aesthetic choices and the rigour of its execution.
The primary suite stands out with a soft, confident atmosphere in tones of black, greige and walnut. The Flutex glass partitions, chosen for their texture and their ability to diffuse natural light, structure the volumes while preserving privacy. Dark fixtures, a rain shower and wood slats come together in an enveloping, refined space.
The main bathroom, built for everyday family use, relies on optimized ergonomics, built-in storage and durable materials. The freestanding tub, glass shower and brass fixtures strike a perfect balance between beauty, comfort and functionality, in a light, soothing palette.
Beyond the two bathrooms, the project includes a custom built-in piece of furniture for the bedroom, designed to carry through the materials and ambiance of the primary suite. Warm wood and vertical lines extend the project’s signature look.
