Groupe Cartier’s role

General contractor

Located on Beaver Hall Street, in the heart of downtown Montréal, this renovation project covers the offices of the Lanctot Avocats law firm, including the conference room and the lawyers’ private offices. Groupe Cartier acted as general contractor, overseeing the full coordination of the work as well as the installation of the custom furniture.

The challenge

Beaver Hall Street holds a distinctive place in Montréal’s urban history. Once lined with stately 19th-century homes, it is today a strategic downtown corridor, home to office towers, law firms and business institutions. This context directly shaped the approach to the project, guided by a rigorous, understated and durable interior architecture in keeping with the image and requirements of an established law firm.

Our approach

A conference room that represents the firm and performs

The conference room was reimagined as a space that represents the firm and performs, incorporating technical solutions suited to meetings, confidential discussions and the current technology needs of the legal sector. The focus was on functionality, confidentiality and clarity of space.

Professional, timeless private offices

The lawyers’ offices were designed to offer professional, ergonomic and timeless work environments. The custom furniture, installed by Groupe Cartier, structures the spaces while maximizing storage, circulation and everyday comfort.

An understated, durable interior architecture

Carried out in collaboration with Sandra Dages, interior designer at Rosa Design, the renovation relies on micro-cement surfaces, wood slats and glazed partitions that structure the spaces without weighing them down. The result emphasizes functionality, confidentiality and clarity.

Expertise in downtown office towers

Working in a multi-tenant building demands rigorous management of logistical constraints: scheduling, access, noise control and coordination with property managers. Groupe Cartier brings that expertise, ensuring work that is efficient, discreet and fully controlled, even in high-density urban settings.

What was delivered

This project reflects Groupe Cartier’s expertise in carrying out work within complex downtown Montréal office towers. From the conference room to the private offices, the team delivered a commercial renovation that is coherent, understated and durable, worthy of an established law firm’s image.
