The administrative and accounting assistant plays a central role in the management of renovation projects.
She handles the administrative, financial, and organizational aspects of client files, while supporting the project management, design, and management teams.

This position is ideal for someone who is organized, thorough, and comfortable with the structured environments of the construction and renovation industry.

Responsibilities

Administration and coordination

  • Management of client files and renovation projects

Job description

The site manager is responsible for the overall coordination of high-end renovation projects (kitchens, living spaces, duplexes/triplexes, turnkey projects), ensuring that quality, deadlines, budgets, and customer experience are met. Working directly with project management, designers, and clients, this person plays a central role in planning, daily monitoring, and proactively resolving issues in the field.

Primary responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and supervise all activities on the construction site (labor, subcontractors, deliveries, safety).
  • Ensure the quality of workmanship in accordance with Groupe Cartier’s high standards and the plans issued by designers and project managers.
  • Coordinate the various trades (carpenters, plumbers, electricians, cabinet installers, etc.) and adjust the sequence of work according to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Ensure that deadlines are met, identify risks of delays, and propose concrete solutions to avoid or make up for them.
  • Ensure that work complies with plans, specifications, building codes, and the company’s RBQ license requirements.
  • Communicate regularly and transparently with clients, in French and English, regarding progress updates, approvals, and decisions to be made.
  • Participate in site meetings and follow-ups with the internal team (project manager, construction management, designers).
  • Apply and enforce health and safety standards on construction sites at all times.
  • Document construction sites (photos, reports, tracking lists of deficiencies) in internal tools.

Desired profile

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in residential renovation projects, ideally in high-end projects (kitchens, complete renovations, duplexes/triplexes).
  • Excellent understanding of interior renovation work sequences (demolition, structure, mechanical, electrical, finishing, installation of kitchens/custom furniture).
  • Very good knowledge of Quebec building standards and best practices in renovation.
  • Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written, to interact with local and international customers.
  • Natural leadership, ability to mobilize and supervise teams and subcontractors.
  • Keen sense of quality, detail, and customer service, consistent with a high-end positioning.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills in the field and priority management skills.
  • Proficiency in basic digital tools (email, construction site tracking applications, plan sharing, etc.).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites in the greater Montreal area.
