Grand Prix du Design

This luxurious kitchen with clean, refined lines is the result of a thoughtful and carefully considered design. Our designer successfully met the clients’ needs by creating a space that is bright, functional, and welcoming. The room is distinguished by a skylight that highlights the carefully curated textures and perfectly balanced contrasts. Both simple and elegant, this timeless design crafted by our team transforms the space into a truly unique sensory experience.

Located on Montreal’s iconic Saint-Joseph Street, this award-winning kitchen renovation with a custom wine cellar is set within a neighborhood rich in industrial and commercial history. Once a major artery for workshops, factories, and local businesses, Saint-Joseph Street has evolved over time while retaining a strong identity—now reinterpreted through refined contemporary residential projects.

For this project, Groupe Cartier acted as both interior designers and cabinetmakers, creating a kitchen where historical context meets modern functionality and refined design. The layout was carefully conceived to enhance circulation, storage, and everyday use while maintaining a clean and timeless architectural language.

The kitchen features high-end custom Miralis cabinetry, recognized for its craftsmanship, precision, and durability. Each element was designed to balance aesthetics and performance, resulting in a space that is both elegant and highly functional.

The raise countertops are a defining feature of the project. Sculptural and tactile, their artisanal finish and interaction with light add depth and character, transforming a functional surface into a true design statement.

The custom wine cellar, seamlessly integrated into the kitchen, ensures optimal wine preservation while serving as a strong architectural focal point that reinforces the project’s refined and cohesive identity.

This Platinum-winning renovation exemplifies Groupe Cartier’s expertise in transforming historically rich spaces into exceptional contemporary kitchens, where design, craftsmanship, and functionality come together to create a distinctive and enduring living environment.
