Project Olympia is a complete renovation of two bathrooms located on the private upper level of a contemporary home in Ahuntsic. Delivered turnkey by Groupe Cartier as general contractor, the project received the Monuma Award – Pouce Interior Design Laureate, a recognized distinction within Quebec’s residential design and renovation industry.
The Monuma Awards, organized by Pouce, celebrate outstanding residential projects selected by a panel of industry professionals. Project Olympia was recognized by the design firm La Pièce, highlighting the project’s design integrity, material coherence and overall execution quality
The mandate focused on reimagining the home’s private level to better support modern family living. Three key interventions defined the project:
the renovation of the main family bathroom,
the creation of an ensuite bathroom for the primary suite,
and the integration of a custom-built furniture piece within the bedroom.
The primary suite features a refined, masculine atmosphere, combining black, greige and walnut tones. Flutex glass partitions, selected for their textured finish and light-diffusing properties, define the space while maintaining privacy. Every material and detail was carefully considered to extend the home’s existing architectural identity.
The main bathroom prioritizes durability, optimized ergonomics and integrated storage, resulting in a space that is both practical and timeless.
