Located on Beaver Hall Street, in the heart of downtown Montreal, this project involved the renovation of the offices of Lanctot Avocats, including the conference room and the lawyers’ private offices. Groupe Cartier acted as general contractor, overseeing the full coordination of the work as well as the installation of custom millwork.
Beaver Hall Street holds a distinctive place in Montreal’s urban history. Once lined with upscale residences in the 19th century, it has evolved into a strategic downtown corridor home to professional towers, legal firms, and business institutions. This context informed a design approach focused on clarity, professionalism, and long-term durability, aligned with the identity of an established law firm.
Completed in collaboration with interior designer Sandra Dages of Rosa Design, the renovation emphasized functionality, confidentiality, and efficient spatial organization. The conference room was redesigned as a representative and high-performance space, integrating technical solutions tailored to meetings, confidential discussions, and the technological demands of a modern legal practice.
The lawyers’ offices were carefully planned to provide professional, ergonomic, and timeless work environments. The custom millwork installed by Groupe Cartier structures the spaces while optimizing storage, circulation, and daily comfort.
This project also highlights Groupe Cartier’s expertise in executing renovations within complex downtown professional towers. Working in occupied, multi-tenant high-rise buildings requires precise logistical planning, strict coordination, controlled noise management, and close collaboration with property managers. Groupe Cartier masters these constraints, delivering efficient, discreet, and meticulously controlled projects in dense urban environments.
