Located in the heart of a residential neighborhood in Laval, this project began with a focused request to redesign the kitchen before evolving into a complete renovation of the main floor, complemented by the primary bathroom on the upper level. The objective was clear: to create open, cohesive and timeless spaces, designed for everyday living and meaningful moments of connection.
The main floor was entirely reconfigured to enhance flow and circulation between the kitchen, dining area, living room, powder room, vestibule, laundry room and staircase. Each space now unfolds seamlessly into the next, maximizing natural light, comfort and a warm, inviting atmosphere.
At the center of the project, the kitchen island becomes a true point of convergence—both functional and architectural. Integrated lighting within the countertop highlights the materials and creates a soft, enveloping ambiance, transforming the kitchen into a genuine living space.
The living room is defined by a custom, artisan-crafted fireplace surround, serving as the project’s signature feature. The combination of micro-concrete and Dekton surfaces creates a refined dialogue between contemporary character and timeless elegance. The staircase, reimagined in both form and materiality, integrates with lightness while providing visual structure to the space.
Upstairs, the primary bathroom embraces a high-end, hotel-inspired approach. A freestanding bathtub, a walk-in shower clad in large-format tiles and clean, controlled lines come together to create a space that is calming, refined and built to last.
This project represents a profound transformation—far more than a renovation, it redefines the way the home is lived. A bright, elegant and functional interior where design becomes a true expression of lifestyle.
